Tips and ideas on how to be classy, creative, and fun in the classroom. |
I recently taught a lesson on astronomy and constellations. The students were so interested in the stars that I did some research and found a great interactive constellation map. Since you can’t take the students out at night, this is the next best thing!
For my lesson we spent the morning making astronaut helmets out of paper plates (I’ll put a tutorial of this up later!). Then during planning, I covered all windows with dark sheets and turned off the lights. The students put on their helmets an we began our exploration of space!!
Check out this website for a look at the constellations: http://www.astroviewer.com/interactive-night-sky-map.php
husband will be using...hope! Not sure if I will teach space or not, but if I can fit it...
