As for fun activities, food is always a fun and relatable way to teach fractions! Use things the students have seen like sliced cake, bread, or pizza.

I’ll look around in my old files (before I discovered Tumblr I had several old index card holders full of ideas) and with other teachers for fun ideas to post later this week.
