For the EC classroom, the students are still learning their letters which can be a lot of hard work! For each letter covered have the parents (if you’ve got super supportive parents) or you bring in a fun food to go with each letter. Here are some ideas.
A- apples, applesauce, Ants on a Log
B- bananas, blueberries, brownies, Butterfingers
C- cookies or cake! (Could you really do anything else for “C”?)
D- doughnuts, Dunkaroos, diamond shaped snacks, dirt cups
E- eye ball cookies, eggs (the chocolate Easter kind of course)
F- fruit, fruit loops (or Fruit Loop Krispies), Fruit by the Foot, Fritos
G- graham crackers, goldfish, grapes, gummi bears
H- mini hot dogs, ham rolls, heart shaped cookies/chocolates/etc, hot chocolate
I- ice cream, Icee, ice cream sandwiches, iced tea, iced cupcakes
J- jell-o, jelly beans
K- Kit Kat, Kudos Granola, Kiwi, Kettle popcorn or chips, Klondike bars, Kool-Aid
L- Lemonade, lollipops, lifesavers
M- marshmallows, M&Ms, munchkins
N- Nutter Butters, nuts
O- oranges, Oreos
P- popsicles, pineapple, pretzels, popcorn, Poptarts, pudding
Q- quiche, Quaker Oats (really anything from them)
R- Reece’s, raisins, Red Velvet cupcakes
S- Snickers, sweets, salty foods, sunflower seeds
T- Teddy grahams, Twister (the drink), tea
U- upside down cake, ugly cookies (make cookies in an odd shape and throw lots of sprinkles, etc on them haphazardly)
V- vegetables, vanilla cake/pudding/frosting/ice cream, Vanilla Wafers (although technically called Nilla),
W- waffles, watermelon, walnuts, wheat thins
X- cookies in the shape of an X
Y- yogurt
Z- Hugs (the Hershey’s kisses that are black and white, describe them as “zebra kisses”), zebra cookies
